Description

the legacy series:
the man behind the craft

In 2023, after Revland turned 70, he proceeded to do two things. After creating over 2000 pieces over a 50 year period, he decided to create a limited edition “legacy” series of sculptural tables and chairs, which he will offer on this website.

He also proceeded to write and publish his autobiographical memoir, titled “simply revland” (how to succeed in life despite yourself), which is offered on this web site, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Audible.

Artists don’t retire, they just gradually and eventually tip over like a multi-limbed tree. As he glides into his golden years, he will be shifting to an increase in “quality” instead of “quantity.” These pieces will be signed, dated, and “white glove” delivered to your door.

We welcome you to scroll through his library of past images in the revland gallery, as well as his “available legacy offerings.” Enjoy.

ogoni the journey ~

crafting a legacy built on passion.

In 1974, after taking two years of wood shop in high school, revland set sail on a lifelong journey as a furniture maker, knowing full well that higher education wasn’t in the cards for him. Childhood dyslexia and ADHD created a roadmap for trial and error…..which eventually led to the realization that his hands would not only be his instruments of joy, they would also serve as his vehicle for success.

Dialing up momentum during the first 20 years would be a challenge, as he was fortuitously flying by the seat of his pants. Handshakes and word of mouth was what he primarily relied on, as there was no internet, social media, or even cell phones.

Over the last 30 years, through multiple HGTV appearances, a best selling book, and national acclaim, revland has made up for lost time and opportunity. He has over 2000 pieces of hand crafted furniture on his resume, with more on the way, all utilizing a formula of hard work, determination, and creativity. The world is his oyster.
